The Doughdish is a fiberglass reproduction of the original Herreshoff 12 1/2 footer. It is constructed in foam sandwich fiberglass with teak trim. It is built to the exact hull dimensions and rig of the sloops designed by N. G. Herreshoff in 1914. As a result they are able to compete against the wooden boats in class races and regattas.
It is a comfortable and easy daysailer, and a wonderful boat for teaching someone to sail.
Doughdish No. 152 was built by Edey and Duff of Mattapoisett, MA in 1983. She is in solid condition, but would benefit from cosmetic attention. Suggested projects would include to strip and re-finish brightwork (trim and spars) and a hard sanding of the bottom.
The sale includes, main and jib sails in usable condition, but need replacement. The boat DOES NOT include a trailer.
